v11 is a powerful tool and it is wonderful to have it after such a long wait. There are some issues to be aware of though: 1. it fails to save changes. This was already an issue with 10.3 but now much worse. My work flow now includes exporting EVERY time I close the algo I’m working on, then importing it when I restart PRT. The changes eventually register but always seems to be a day behind. 2. exporting often causes it to crash! A half dozen times already I have got 2 dialogue boxes, one says ‘Export was successful’, plus a smaller one that says ‘Export in progress’ that never goes away. Then I have to close PRT via Task Manager and restart. 3. big discrepancy between a straight backtest and an optimization that includes those same values. For example, I had trailing stop settings of 0.29 % with a step of 0.028%. I ran an optimization with a range of values above and below that. It returned 0.31% with a step of 0.03%, but gave worse performance than what I started with. When I clicked the 0.29 / 0.028 line in the optimization box, I got a completely different (worse) result than the original backtest. TBT checked in both cases. I have passed all this on to PRT, just posting here for others to be aware. Anyone else getting similar or different problems?

Thanks @GraHal, but that doesn’t make the indicator writing and background change colour so that the writing is in black and the indicator background is in white like the rest of the chart background? Cursor on chart at least gets rid of the loud black boxes where the writing is.

Hello,

I cannot close a position that I have openned using autotrading through a strategy using Prorealtime V11 — on the portfolio Open Positions window the column for closing position (Red X at top of column) has a gear icon next to the row of foprex trade in progress and clicking does not close the position. Any Help appreciated. (I want to close position through Prorealtime as this keeps the trade detals and if I close through IG app it does not keep informatiuon on Prorealtime)

Is this a Bug?

or is there a way around this or a setting I am unaware of?

Is this in Demo or Live Account?

If you opened with an Algo … why not close the Algo then that will close the trade. This will preserve the performance against the Algo.

If the trade is an Orphan Trade (opened with Algo, but Algo has stopped and Trade left open) then …

If in Live Account, contact IG with a reference number to the Trade.

2. If in Demo Account, wait until the next ‘broker reset‘ … up to a few days, but could be tonight at midnight etc.

Orphan trades happen to most of us from time to time, I’ve had loads, I leave them and they dissapear afte a while.

If you want to preserve whatever performance is due to the trade, make a note in the ‘Notes’ attached the Algos.
