If on Forward Test on Live or Demo, I find that the Algo does not take any trades so I’ve lost out for a week or so before I realise my mistake or that IG have increased the minimum.

On Backtest, Algo runs but shows no trades if below minimum for the respective Instrument.

For my backtest and Demo Live I’m using position size >8 (1eur/point). I’ll try 2 lots of 5eur/point.

In France with IG, I only have access to US500 1euro, 50$ and 250$. There is no 5eur/contract.

yes, I have those same options but in Demo, the minimum size for US500 €1 is 5

You can find it on the IG web platform ticket in your demo account.

Thank you nonetheless for your insight. With IG France, the US 500 Algos seem to work only with $50 and $250. With the same Algo, the 1 eur/point contract doesn’t trigger any trades, while the two other do.

Hi Peter, for 1 eur/contract, I tried two options:
- variable lot size : (2000+strategyprofit)/(close*.5*.1) –> 8 lots and more
- fixed at 10 contracts
and both don’t work at 1eur/contract. However, same Algo, works with $50 and $250.

with IG France, there is no 5eur/point.
