Two different strategies on same market and timeframe

Hi guys,

Quick question, I thought I’d read before that running two different strategies on the same time frame and market can cause problems with exits as one strategy closes the other has this ever been or is still the case ?

With IG as broker we can have as many Longs and Shorts open at same time as you want.

Different strategies cannot influence each other because no exchange of information between strategies, in PRT, is possible.

At the broker IB, in principle, it is not allowed to execute different strategies on the same market (it is possible to create several sub-accounts to execute different strategies)

With the broker IG, it is allowed to execute several strategies on the same market and with this broker, you can also go simultaneously “long” and “short”. Here too, no exchange of information between the different strategies is possible.

More reasons to stay with IG, the IB integration seems to be a bit of a joke.
