1. Open Long and Short Trade on an instrument (currency pair) with the pre-set Lots (say 20K). Lots can be changed if needed.
2. Open Long and Short Trade on an instrument (currency pair) with the pre-set Lots (say 20K). Lots can be changed if needed 2. When one of the positions (Long or Short) is profitable >= £50 (configurable), place a 50% stop loss on that position and immediately open a new position with pre-set Lots in the profitable direction.
3. Repeat Step 2 as many times as needed based on above criteria.
4. Keep an eye on the remaining equity. If the remaining equity is less than 10% (configurable), take profit and start from Step 1 again.
Can I request someone to code the above in ProOrder/ProRealTime?
I can have a look at this but which asset and timeframe do you have in mind?
Then your point 4 is not possible unless you introduce a parameter where you insert your capital manually. PRT has no possibility to check your account balance.
Ops, I just realized you have no entry conditions formulated. Without those it will be hard to code. 🙂
Thanks for showing some interest Despair! Yes, there are no entry conditions. As mentioned in my initial post, you open a LONG and SHORT position on a Forex Pair (say EURUSD) with a predetermined Lot Size (say 50K or 1 per point – can be anything).
There is no time frame as time frame does not matter in this strategy.
If it is not possible to check account balance, we can easily leave that check or use capital manually as you suggested. I am surprised though why ProRealTime code can’t check the remaining balance/equity.
I can code this for you but not tonight. I just started a BBQ. 🙂
One will have to run the short and long side in different strategies otherwise it is not possible to hold and long and short simultaneously. But I will see what I can do.
And yes, it is strange that one can’t check account balance. We must hope that future versions of PRT have this feature.
Hi Despair
When you have some spare time, can you please code my TrendTrader strategy in ProRealTime?
Many thanks!
Sam
