Hi guys, I am trying to make replicate the tradingview rsi as well as the moneyflow, in prorealtime. However, i can’t seem to figure out how i’m supposed to take the change of the “close” price of all values in a 14 period. I hope you guys can help me. It’s because i made an indicator in tradingview, but my code seems to give a different value when i use the RSI and MFI of ProRealTime.

I think that the formula are the same. You find different results because you are comparing different data?

Thank you for this comment it actually helped me a lot. I noticed that they are indeed the same for RSI and MFI. However, this only applies when the MFI indicator is set on 14 periods. For the RSI it worked when it was set to both 14 and 20. The problem is, that I need the 20 periods on both indicators for it to work. I have attached the comparison.

Sorry but I think you did not understood what I meant 🙂 Which instrument are you using to make comparison? Do they have the exact same OHLC values? Are you with IG or another broker?

oh I’m sorry, i used Royal Dutch Shell from euronext amsterdam for the comparison. I just checked and the OHLC values are exactly the same for both ProRealTime and TradingView. RSI is also exactly the same no matter the amount of bars. MFI is only the same on 14 bars. I’m with BinckBank, but i don’t see how that would make a difference

Since MFI calculation is based on Volumes, there might a difference between the 2 data history. Dividend adjustments could also be the problem here.
