The upcoming MTF feature – so many possibilities(?)

    Since multi timeframe support is soon to be released I thought it would be interesting to hear about your opinions regarding the impact it will have to your current and upcoming systems!

    From my perspective this feature adds a whole new layer to what’s possible and what’s not. I get the impression that most of my current systems will be greatly improved thanks to it, and that this community is going to dig up many cool ideas and concepts around using multiple timeframes.

    Maybe i’m hyping this too much, but it feels like this is going to be a game changer. I can’t even decide in which end i should begin experimenting with it 🙂
    So what do you think? How great of an impact will it have?

    It is certainly going to add massive possibilities to how we can use PRT to trade and to even just analyse markets. What it will also do though is add masses of possible new filters and extra conditions to our strategies that could make them over selective meaning that we end up with very few trades at all or a massively curve fitted strategy. Hopefully one of its best features will be the ability to improve market entry timing although once again this will come at a price as our back tests will have to be done on shorter time frames with the limitations of their smaller data sample. We may end up having to develop strategies that work on longer time frames and then just add on a shorter time frame entry at the end of that development and hope we have not broken the strategy!

    It will certainly be interesting to see what people come up with using this new feature.

    MTF should come to PRT/IG Demo accounts this coming Wednesday hopefully.
