Hi all
Is there a way of enabling the optimiser to run more than one optimisation concurrently, because looking at the memory and CPU usage as it runs there is plenty of capacity to spare on my PC, yet although it is possible to queue up optimisations, they run sequentially

Hi,
The optimisation module (ProOrder/ProBackTest) runs on PRT’s servers, so the memory and CPU usage on your own computer is not relevant…
The optimisation module executes submitted optimisations concurrently, not sequentially…
Hi,
I am confident actually the optimisation code does not run on the servers, and secondly they definitely do not run concurrently.
Can you point to any documentation for this? because I can’t find any, although my favourite LLM says the only way to run PRT optimisations concurrently would be to run multiple accounts on multiple devices, which is not very practical.
I am specifically referring to the to the optimisation aspect of the back test system, they run synchronously, it is possible they run on the server however, maybe that is why they don’t run concurrently to protect server load

Why ask questions when you already know the answers definitively and for sure…?
I clearly know what behaviour I am seeing, there are people in here with significantly more experience of PRT than me, perhaps somebody knows of a configuration option or work around
By the way, it seems the optimisations do run concurrently if using the premium version
