Subsequent orders on alerts without intervention

    Hello All,

    I’ve been experimenting with a strategy using the alert tool and an associated order, which has been successful so far. However, even though I have the button ticked for the alert to trigger “each time” the conditions are met, subsequent orders do not generate. My goal is to set up the conditions of the alert, and have it trigger the same order each time those conditions are met (without me going back and re-associating an order). Is there a setting somewhere that I’m missing? Thanks for your help!

    No there is no Setting to do what you want above for repeat Orders.

    Nearest I can think of is for you to use the ‘Simple Creation Tool’ to auto-code the condition that you have set up for the repeated Alert and then run this Algo to give you repeat Orders.

    My suggestion above also means that you could backtest your ideas.

    My understanding is that the ‘each time’ is linked to the audible Alert ONLY.

    The test sconniejames refers to in his OP confirms above.
