Strategy stopped due to interface other than ProOrder

    One of my demo strategies that has been running live for some time suddenly stopped today and the reason given was:

    ‘This trading system was stopped due to an external event such as a modification of an order or position opened by a trading system from an interface other than ProOrder. Please carefully check your positions and pending orders.’

    I do not have any other interfaces or trading system other than PRT so I am a little confused as to why this strategy was stopped. Luckily it was only demo and it closed with a profit but still this is worrying.

    I have an identical strategy running but with variable seasonal position sizing and this one was not stopped.

    The very same happened to me! It was irritating! I was stopped several times before, these stops made losses. I was in short. And this mistake happened. Obviously within 30 seconds dropped the index, and I was not in position…Needless to say, that all my losses should have disappeared…I was pissed off!

    Did you do a manual trade at the time of the auto-trade closing?

    Just an idea?  I’ll try and think of something else! 🙂

    No, not me! Just watching how the strategy was working…really annoying.

    No. Just auto trading and an identical strategy but just with different position size is still running.

    Hey you haven’t got any Trailing Stops rem’d out have you or even a Limit Order rem’d out??

    No, I do not have trailing stop in the strategy, only simple stop loss

    No. There is a:

    //SET Target pProfit TP

    but this is also in the other identical (except for position size) strategy and that is still running.

    Is one Strat on Live and one on Demo?

    Do you recall the issue re Rem’d out Trailing Stop being discussed on here and that it caused Issues? PRT are looking into it currently.  It may only be on Live or Demo.

    I’ll post the link on here if / when I come across it.

    Is one Strat on Live and one on Demo? Do you recall the issue re Rem’d out Trailing Stop being discussed on here and that it caused Issues? PRT are looking into it currently. It may only be on Live or Demo.

    Both are on Demo. Yes I recall the issue but I do not have anything similar in the code. Hopefully someone from PRT could explain why these strategies were stopped.

    Did you send a Technical Report to PRT?

    As we know, PRT say they need this to investigate etc.

    If you wish that we have a deeper look into the issue you mention please send a technical report via the “Help”-menu of the platform.

    – Click on “Technical support”
    – Select “Code”
    – Giving as many details as possible, explain the issue you are having in the text box and mention the name of the code you are referring to.
    – To receive in depth assistance, it is necessary to analyze the code itself which is encrypted on our servers. To allow our technicians temporary access, please check the box marked “I authorize the decryption of the codes…”
    – Click “Send report”

    Please also send an email to contact@prorealtime.com indicating your IG demo account number in order to allow me to do the follow up with the technical teams.

    Rather ironically I just tried to send a report but when I clicked ‘send’ my PRT Demo platform locked up and had to be closed by Task Manager. I have not had this problem for ages after a horrible time with it!

    I will try again when I have reloaded PRT.
