    Emails and tickets sent to PRT are ignored flat.

    You might be right. I will count the days until it is all fixed…. I might be counting for quite some time…..

    Attached was an attempt for a central repository of our Technical Reports so that we can monitor just how long it takes to get a reply from PRT (if ever!?).

    I still have not received a reply to my 5 Oct 18 submitted Technical Report.

    It is a great idea but I’m afraid that I am just too busy restarting strategies, closing orphaned trades and reporting ghost trades – by the time I have done all that on a daily basis I am so depressed that the thought of also logging my reports elsewhere would be enough to push me over the edge.

    The Log is based on a copy and paste of what you put in your Technical Report and my idea was that then we could all bombard PRT with the same info (assuming we are genuinely experiencing the same Issue of course).

    It seems this is the only way open to us to let PRT know how pee’d off we are with it all??

    I’m sure lots of PRT Customers don’t send in Technical Reports because they can’t be bothered typing up the symptoms they are getting etc. The Log may make the whole process easier for all of us by copying / plagiarising entries etc.

    But I understand and sympathise with your black humour comments.

    Sending in reports is already a huge effort. For example yesterday it would have been nice to send one report linked to four strategies on one platform/account that were all showing ghost trades but instead I have to send four separate reports by clicking help, I have a technical problem, select AutoTrading, find the strategy, type the problem, click send, wait, wait wait, email sent. Repeat four times then close platform, login to different platform as I can’t risk having two platforms running at the same time as they are so RAM heavy that the computer might lock up or burn out the cooling fan… and repeat. … and repeat with third platform. After all that sorry but I just can’t be arsed to fill in another form.

    At the moment I think that all the issues are IG derived as I suddenly had masses of rejected trades and now I have masses of orphaned and ghost trades. I imagine that PRT give fairly even priority to live and demo but as we all know IG give low priority to demo and demo is where all the issues are. Something is broken on the IG side of things me thinks.

    Well there seems to have been some sort of progress (or I just got lucky) because this is the first Monday morning in weeks when I haven’t woken up to a mass of stopped strategies and orphaned trades on my demo accounts. I still however have all my phantom ghost trades still open as they have not been deleted yet.

    Did everyone else wake up to a stopped strategy/orphaned trade free Monday morning?

    I’ve had all my strategies (> 190) stopped and clear of orphans since 2 weeks ago after the last major orphan making disaster.

    As you say … it all comes to some level of something / the pits ( 🙂 ) when we / I see Demo trading as pointless!?

    I am still Demo trading on 1 SB Account (14 Systems) which is my pretend to be Live Trial Account! 🙂

    No orphans or stopped Systems on this 1 Account for 2 weeks ish.

    It is now eight days since IG said that they would get the phantom trades on my accounts deleted and sixteen days since I sent in the very first report about this and yet all the phantom trades are still there! 🙁

    I am guessing that these phantom trades are stopping the strategies from opening any further positions and so once again IG demo forward testing is proving to be pointless.

    For me, it has been already a week or two since my DEMO accounts and strategies are working fine. Nor a single problem or orphan trade whatsoever.

    Yes mine have also been working fine except for all these phantom trades that need to be deleted.

    Maybe an IG staff member was given the task but forgot to delete your phantoms?

    I got fast action by posting on the IG Forum, it would be worth a go Vonasi?

    The IG Forum is kinda weird as in … it’s like IG don’t want users to browse and search listings as they bury the button to view all?  I still find myself thinking … “Now how did I get in last time!?”.

    Seems like they want us to only view Forum posts that they flag up / highlight to us direct?

    Post a screen shot of phantom ID numbers (do they have ID’s) on the IG Forum then you may be free of phantoms in a day or so.

    Reason for posting the ID numbers is so the IG Rep reading the post can quickly / easily  then go in and delete at your phantoms at your request on the IG Forum.

    Above is what I did anyway (maybe it was unrelated to my IG Forum post?) but I was sorted very soon after my post was commented on by IG Rep and I never emailed / contacted IG directly at all (I didn’t want to appear on the IG MaxT bad guy board!? 🙂 )

    I have sent a follow up email to Marcy at IG asking why the phantom trades are still there. In her last reply she said she was passing it over to PRT.

    For some reason a game of tennis springs to mind.

    I may have spoken too soon. Another Monday morning and another seven strategies stopped on one of my demo accounts with IG. A variety of rejection reasons from the market being closed to ‘telephone us’ and also ‘you don’t have enough money in your account’. I am guessing that the latter is being caused by all the phantom trades which are bleeding the account dry. It would be nice if someone could actually get around to deleting them!

    One of my strategies has a phantom trade now running at a £28000 loss that I cannot close. Other strategies on the same account are also running with phantom positions open. So now even strategies that are running fine are rejecting orders and stopping due to lack of funds. I have had to deposit more virtual money to try to stop this happening. Forward testing and demo account balance is all now completely meaningless. Despite having some of the strategies on forward test now for over a year all the results are meaningless and I have no idea how any of the strategies would have truly performed in this time. Without this information it is unlikely that IG will ever see any of my funds used to trade them live. Demo is as important as live trading and it is about time that IG realised this.
