If you coded an Algo and you backtested the Algo then your code will be saved (up to that point).
No, that´s not true for me!
Also I stand by what I have detailed elsewhere … the fewer Algo’s ( < 12 or so) we have listed / saved on our Platform in the coding area … the less problems are experienced saving Algo code
…and maybe other problems as we have discussed. If it´s true as you say, PRT should adress that problem or state that their platform isn´t for people who want to have more than X numbers of algos.
No, that´s not true for me!
So what are you doing different from what I am doing?
Are you leaving the coding window open while you backtest?
Anyway GraHal, you are golden again.
OboeOpt I suggest you read the whole Topic of which the above post is part.
Or if you are short on time … export your Algo’s to your PC and then try to save code changes when you have only 10 to 20 Algo’s listed in the code editor.
Advantage of exporting to your PC is that you can save your Algo’s in folders and it only take a few seconds for each export. Also if PRT Servers should ever go down you have not lost your life’s work! 🙁

…or if IG decide to close your account without any warning due to what they consider to be insignificant quantity of trading.
Would IG really close an account while there is still money in it ? I doubt that. They pull out a monthly inactivity fee after two years without any trading activity, and when all funds in the account are used up, they close it. If someone has not saved his PRT work by then, whose fault is it ?
@Vonasi
Are you talking from experience ?
