Hi everyone,

I’ve looked at the forum and did not find a solution yet.

Can anyone let me know if it’s possible to run a strategy using volume bars? I can backtest, the strategy works well but for some reasons, when it’s time to run it live it keeps getting me an error…

Hi,
I believe the message is clear: automated trading systems cannot run with non-standard time units, such as X-ticks or X-volumes.
You can backtest these systems, but unfortunately, they cannot be used as automated trading systems. If you want to run this system automatically, you will need to switch to standard time units, such as X-seconds, X-minutes, etc.

Was a bit confused because I was able to backtest it on volume bars, so was thinking that it might need a specific set up in the code itself.
