QU Strategies by ALE

  Hello

  some months ago, Ale has posted several QU strategies. Does someone follow them ?or trade with them ?

  If yes, are the live results identic as backtests ?

  Hi – Yes I trade some of them in live and can confirm that they live results match those in backtest. Results have been mixed and there is possibly scope for refining the strategies further I think, I have been testing various alternatives.

  @reb – I’m using both the strategies. As I mentioned, it needs patience. But one thing I think that these strategies have going for them is the fact that they are long as well as short. Quite a number of strategies on here are focusing on long only – which is perfectly fine, but since we are in a constant uptrend for the last 8 yrs, I’m a bit nervous about not focusing on the short side ie when do you know that your long only only strategy is simply not working anymore, at what point of drawdown do you call it quits ? 1.5x historic draw, 2x ? Whereas, if you are both long and short then at least you can evaluate if the short side is working or not pretty quickly.
