Hello ProRealCode community,
I’m in the market for a new laptop and am strongly considering a Chromebook for its portability. However, my one non-negotiable requirement is access to ProRealTime.
I was hoping to find out if anyone here has successfully run the ProRealTime platform on a Chromebook.
My main questions are:
- Is it possible to run ProRealTime directly on Chrome OS?
- If not, has anyone managed to get it working well using the built-in Linux (Crostini) environment on a Chromebook?
I’m very interested to hear about your experiences regarding setup, performance, and overall stability before I make the purchase.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
On Chromebook, you can also use the web platform through a browser:

or even the Android application, get it from the store:
