Problems Backtesting & optimization

  Anyone else experiencing big problems with Backtesting & optimization yesterday and today???

  Have been optimizing a strategy for Three Days, then yesterday I suddenly got a whole different (wurse) result. I tried everthing to backstep if I had made some mistake, but couldnt see what the problem was. Today I started Everything all over again. Tonight I was almost back to my earlier result when it all of a sudden now isn´t even Close to where I started?

  My suspicion is that my Changes is no longer saved and return to previous versions. Anyone else? Im really not happy right now…

  Yesterday Before changing my variables to fixed numbers I took a photo of all the numbers on top of the Equity curve because I have experienced problems Before. Then when it all whent to shit I used that “backup” to put in those numbes again but I never got the same result again. I could only Think that i´ve made some strange mistake so I started all over again… Had 2 aborted simulations today with a warning message.

  I’ve had similar problems in the past … you feel like you are going crazy!!! Damned frustrating, I sympathise!!

  Have you tried Closing your Platform (SAVE before exit) and login and and try again with your variable values you recorded?

  Yes GraHal, this is frustrating deluxe…

  I have tried Everything now it feels like. Im going to make a copy of the original algo and try again inserting the numbers i used. Of course it was one of the best results i´ve ever achived too…

  So now it don´t if the great result was because there was something wrong with PRT at that time or if I can recreate it. Well i´m gong to try.

  Did you by any chance disable / untick the tick by tick mode box … as that would give fantastic results!?

  Or even click ‘Continue’ on that Message Box … as that disables tick by tick and this remains disabled until you enable it again.

  If you Closed and Log back in then the tick by tick box would default back to enabled??

  No dont Think so. Almost replicatet the result today when it all happend again. Since I had the stopped optimizations also im pretty sure its the program screwing me over.
