Is there a way I can find an indicator to add the point of control and value area high and low lines to the volume profile?

    Hi Roberto,

I have attached two MT4 indicators, could you please help in converting them to PRT, I think they will be useful for everyone.

    Many Thanks in prompet.

    Regards,

I cannot do conversions as I am not proficient in other (trading) languages other than PRT (and I don’t plan to become).

Nicolas is the conversion master (or monster, if you wish), but he has been quite busy with the MarketPlace and some website fine tuning, now he’s on holidays to relax a bit and will be back soon.

He ALWAYS reads ALL posts and will surely add your requests to his conversion list (I don’t know how large it is, though).

    Be patient!

    Thank you 🙂

@efahmy :  I’ve also made a topic about this here with as much details I could provide to help : https://www.prorealcode.com/topic/anchored-volume-profile/

No replies yet but let’s be patient with hollyday season for everyone.

I really wish ProRealTime dig into this to polish the Volume Analysis tool they offer.

    Hello Luciole @karl_kondor7_kerons and @efahmy,

I’ve seen both this topic and the linked topic, and other VP topics a few times now, and left plenty of time for someone to come up with a free solution should there be one… so I guess with time gone by it’s ok to reply with a marketplace alternative (don’t get me wrong, mentionning a marketplace solution is allowed without delay, it’s just my personal preference not to)

You may want to check if the « composite volume profile » achieves what you need: https://market.prorealcode.com/product/composite-and-custom-ranges-volume-profile-2/

You can get it for less than tradingview level 1 paid subscription when renting, or choose a lifetime license to limit spending to around a year’s rent. Or combine it with the daily sessions VP too in one of the packs if you want.

Or… it doesn’t cost a thing to join the fresh new draw to win 3 months of volume profile without commitment (and/or to participate to future draws): https://twitter.com/VoluProfile4PRT/status/1423197032383123456

Okay I just see your link @noobywan and I understand that this request is not good for your business.

Please understand my point of view  that you are not selling any ” blackbox” value (all VP details are available for public and I tried to share the most possible details in order to help Nicolas or others to achieve building this).

Yet I also understand the time invested for you to build this and I dont deny that.

But does it means that any Volume Profile code requests will be denied because a PRC moderator is selling his work on MarketPlace ? There is a conflict of interest here.

And while it would be impossible to ask for a perfect replication of a “blackbox” indicator or trading system, it ‘s a matter of time and interest for somebody to convert a public source code from one source to another.

Don’t worry, a moderator is a user just like you not a PRC employee, and Nicolas translates codes as he sees fit on his PRC website, there’s no conflict of interest, anybody wanting to convert it please go ahead, there’s already been free volume profiles in the PRC library and forums before. Here’s one: https://www.prorealcode.com/prorealtime-indicators/bull-bear-volume-by-price-levels/

Not only I understand your point of view about no blackbox value there, I share it… I’ve been using VP for 10 years now (but only since 2017 with a custom PRTv10.3 code upgraded to a v11 code), there’s no math mystery behind it at all, there’s never been. And drawing horizontal rectangles is a piece of cake.

The true value of the marketplace volume profile code, compared with other available free attempts in library and forum, what makes it a big development within the limitations of the probuilder language in spite of very simple maths on paper, is the algorithmic choices over and above sandbox programming of the library to make it compute very fast even if the profile is detailed and on a big number of bars of history and full of customisation options… fast and flexible therefore practical to use.

I have seen that indicator on Marketplace, looks very expensive to me (€187.5) A$300 for one indicator, that’s too much, and if I need 2 or 3 more indicators I might pay more than A$1000 for it !!!

For example, I need the cumulative delta, the footprint charts, and market profile as well.

    #174974

@efahmy  I’m afraid you will never see footprint on PRT for years.

The built-in solution for Market profile is made by some kind of summer internship : https://www.prorealtime.com/en/market-profile

This is far from PRTv11 standart quality. I do not really even understand how this can be a paid option.

You can at least have some kind of turn around with PRT coding engine, but it’s very limited and obvisouly far from easy considering JC_bywan ‘s previous message about optimisation.  Would be great to have such tools -well- integrated into PRT by default. But probably not enough client’s request about it to spend time.
