pLOSS requires an amount in pips, while LOSS requires a difference between prices, such as CLOSE-LOW or a constant such as 100*pipsize.
With most indices with a 1:1 pip-to-price ratio it may not make any difference, but with most fx pairs SET STOP pLOSS 100 means 100 pips away from entry price, while SET STOP LOSS 100 means 100 US$ away from the entry price in case it’s Eur/Usd!
