I don’t believe it… could it be that IG or PRT is deleting pending orders before events?? Occurred today at 15:32 on the SP500. What use is the best breakout strategy if the orders are deleted first? That’s just annoying me.
The same strategy on the demo account worked great.
What is the error description ?
In the PRT I don’t know yet, but the strategy doesn’t seem to have stopped. Otherwise I would have received an email. I only see it in the IG app. Order has been deleted.
Here you have Rejected and Cancelled. Both could be what you mean with “deleted” translated from German. I never saw “deleted” as such.
The Cancelled is normal in my case because it is a Limit order which was not filled (new bar new chance).
The Rejected is also harmless, unless it happens too often in a sequence; then the Strategy is stopped.
So maybe nothing is wrong.
But why was the pending order triggered in the demo account? I’m a little upset because that would have been a nice hit. Maybe I should code back to the original strategy after all. A close crosses over/under always works. Unfortunately, you get a worse entry-level price. What unit of time do you use? I use M1.
On closer inspection… the same strategy is running in M1 and M3 in the demo account… the order was triggered in M3… M1 did nothing like in the live account. Why is that? What makes a pending order in the M1 different than in the M3?
But why was the pending order triggered in the demo account?
No changes in minimum distance in the Demo Account?
If your Pending Order is inside the minumum distance (on Live) at the point of Order execution then it will get Rejected?
What makes a pending order in the M1 different than in the M3?
In too many aspects than can be described here ?
With the code at hand we could get somewhere (no, I am certainly not asking to post it 😉 ).
I am aware of that. However, this order in particular had been in the market since 09:00 and was deleted at 15:32.
I don’t want to reveal the code this time. 😉
