    Hi,

    Another newbie question from me….

How do I partially exit my position? e.g. I’m long £10 per point, but I want to reduce my position by half at a certain level. Whenever I’ve tried to simply sell 5 (for this example), PRT just opens a new short position for £5 per point….! The result is that i now have two positions – one x £10 long, and one x £5 short. I can’t see an obvious way to achieve this in the UI.

(I feel like a total idiot for not figuring this out yet btw!)

    Cheers

Hi Nickodemus, this has to do with the trading settings of your account: in Trading > Manual trading > At market, you have to toggle ‘Forcen open’ from activated to deactived if you do not want to have opposite positions at the same time.

Thanks Rafael. It also appears that i had the force open ticked in the toolbar. I assume this also overrides the master setting for the manual trading. Both are now disabled 🙂
