Order Book settings and data

When I access the Order Book through my IG interface the Order Book shows very little data other than traded contracts at each price. Why is the contracts waiting in the market to be matched data not visible?

Hi Ariodog,

For IG this is not working because for IG there is no real “market” orderbook. Maybe others can explain this (technically) better than I can.
For PRT-IB it works fine.

BTW, I think that you can get order books by activating Level 2 access in your IG account dashboard, but only for real stocks (not CFD).

Ah, that is of course true !
I can’t check it for IG (no Level 2 subscription), but this is how it looks when it is working (this is IB) – this is Horizontal Mode :
