Thanks Eric, another food for thoughts.
I jumped directly to the conclusion of this students report:
Backtesting was performed on 250 stocks from various industry
groups over the last five years (4/21/2005-4/21/2010).
The project team identified 22 stocks that perform well with the Opening Range Breakout strategy explained in section 4.6.
Accordingly to this report less than 10% of the tested stocks universe is significantly interesting for ORB. IMHO, Open Range Breakout are more tradable with indices, we have so many examples in the library and forums.

Yes i would also prefer indices and forex before stocks
i think the gaps and trading costs, slippage using stocks would be a problem
i found this on a old computer i did some testing a couple of years ago but didnt found something i liked, maybe someone else is smarter and can use it
