Open Trade with Trigger

    Hello,

    i would like to open a trade when the price is triggered for the very first time. Not with the next candle. Is this possible?

    No, even on a very small TF, like 1 second, you will have to wait at least 1 second (the next bar) to enter a trade and that price might be triggered more than once by then.

    The long-awaited Multi Time Frame version should resolve this issue. It is rumoured it will be available before the end of this year.

    Associate orders to Alerts

    From the ProRealTime Main Window, click ProRealTime to activate Alert mode. Move the cursor to the chart or near to a specific object drawn and click: the Alert Settings window appears.

    First define the conditions composing your Alert, by using the drop-down menus proposed. Then check the “Associate Order” box:

    • Choose Buy or Sell if the conditions are met
    • Choose the quantity of the order

    Every order associated to an Alert is an “At market” order, that will be placed only if the conditions are met and the Alert is triggered. This functionality can be used to create orders based on indicators and to create an order based on multiple conditions.

    Orders associated to Alerts will be deleted if they have not been executed when you close the platform.

    @robertogozzi thanks a lot, then I will have to wait till the Multi-Time-Frame Version is released.


    @Eric     Great, I will try this. The sad thing is that I want reliable backtests first. I like to trade on my own but I do already work with alerts 🙂
