No volume in FX with IG. However, MT4 has volume.

  I fully understand that FX volume is a completely different ball-game than futures and stocks and not centralized. However, volume is important. If it spikes with IG markets then it most likely is a reflection on what happens globally.

  So my question is therefore:

  • Why is there no volume on FX with PRT when I have volume in MT4 on demo account with IG?

   

  • Is this IG that doesn’t want to share the volume data with ProrealTime for some reason?
  • Is it Prorealtime that isn’t interested in the volume and hasn’t implemented this.

   

  I would appreciate a clarification.

  1.  Almost certainly.

  2.  Doubtful as PRT shows volume for Indexes and stocks.

  I actually have. Several months ago. No answer.

  I didn’t get an answer when I called in or any follow-up information either.

  I’m getting more and more frustrated with the poor interaction between IG and PRT. I thought you guys were partners. But by the looks of it, either the left hand is not knowing what the right hand is doing, or both hands are not connected to the same brain. PRT 11.x has been out for quite some time…. Just saying…. and yes, I raised that question too… Several months ago and just a few days ago.

  So I’m trying to establish if this is IG or PRT. I would like to know what PRT has to say about this – is the FX volume missing because of IG or PRT decision? It’s a yes or no.

  IG doesn’t send Volumes infos for FX through its protocol to PRT. If the Volumes were present in the pipe, then the software would show them, but they are not.

  Btw this website is independent from PRT in so far as the Owner / WebMaster – Nicolas is not an employee of PRT.

  Nicolas does have close ties with PRT.

  I’m just saying as your comment sounds like you thought you were speaking to PRT?

  PRT do  monitor this Forum, but we haven’t seen many comments from them for weeks / months … maybe due to Covid?
