    Hi,

I am new to the pro order, never used it as previously it didnt support cross timeframe indicators as far as i was aware. (current just use prorealtime charts)

my question is, i have my indicators already on my chart across 3,5 and 15 min chart. i use the 15 and 5 for my set up and the 3 for entry. (timeframe in minutes). will i need to code all my indicators from scratch, and then write a code to refer to these indicators, or can i grab the current indicators in my chart from a blank code? e.g. have the code refer to the current charts, and then determine buy/sell from this? (or fill in the paramaters from available indicators?)

and, would watching the learning videos be of any use to me for this scenario? intermediate coder, just looking for a place to get started and how much from scratch i will have to start.

i hope this question makes sense and is in the right forum, happy to elaborate. love forums for learning 🙂

    thanks

Hi, hopefullly I might answer some of the question. You can use either existing indicators from the list of built-in ones, or code from scratch any custom indicator you’d like. You may even get your indicators from other platforms converted for free here (providing you use the free conversion form from above menu). And if you want to use your indicators in a backtest or an automatic strategy, you can either copy paste them inside your strategy, or you can “call” them  (see in above menu “help / probuilder language documentation / type in call)

    https://www.prorealcode.com/documentation/call/

You have Nicolas video too (“learning videos” in above menu)

And pretty much any post in the forum can be accessed through the site search engine box (go to your avatar top right corner, first line of drop down menu). The forum is moderated to try to keep it tidy so that topics remain focused in order to remain a huge searchable database for free learning.
