As you will see from my sample screenshot of a system report that is trading every 5 minutes on the m5 timeframe. Most it the time the Nbr Bars are 2 but sometimes they are 3. Why is this?
I must be missing something here?? 🙂
Sometimes it takes 2 x 5 min bars to trigger exit conditions and at other times it takes 3 x 5 min bars?
Aha the coffee is working now!!!
3 x 5 min when it should be only 2 x 5 min with reference to open and exit time of the trade! 🙂
I noted that when it is 3 x 5 min bars then the difference between open and close is > 301 seconds (5 min + 1 sec) for the majority of instances. So I guess the exceptions break the logic of > 301 secs being the reason? 🙁
Good one for PRT Support to answer?
Hello,
These figures correspond to the number of candlesticks on which the position has remained open.

Hello Carine
We are aware that the bars represent candle sticks but this is 5 minutes per trade so it should always be 2 bars. It opens at a trade at 19:25 and close at 19:30 = 2 bars but it shows 3 bars. Why is it sometimes 3 bars?
Please have a closer look at the report. Thank you.
