I satyed up all night working on a strategy and i optimized it 3 times for 3 different markets. When i was done i exported them + saved them to an external SD card, cus ive exeperienced saving-trouble with PRT before, but never like this.

All my optimization + any changes done to all the algos are now gone. It even says the optimized variables (which is nice) in the “Variable optimization: n1 X n2 X….” but its as if its never been modified and all variables are back to the original ones. Even tried to import the algos back into PRT and overwrite but they’re gone. Gotta re-optimize everything.

Moral of the story is… i dont know?!

Damned if u do and damned if u dont it seems like. It really annoys me that even saving the algos on an external card wont help u sometimes…

This is honestly a little bit depressing and scary tho..

all 3/3 optimized codes are reverted back to their original states.

So, i made 1 strategy into Version 1 and Version 2

It looks like every single one is V1 only, and no optimization has been saved at all. I need to re-optimize everything + create V2 from the top of my head.

    God damnet..

Okay so i just broke the systems it seems like. I had to actually DELETE the systems and create them from the start again. Delete all the saved files of them and save them again with a new name and new file. Seems to work now.

no idea wtf happened but all the strategies i made yesterday night are all corrupt and are showing the 1 same strategy, sometimes showing different variables optimization but all the variables in the code is fixed and as if its made using the wizard tool.

Save ur shit guys. If i make a good looking algo im honestly gonna start saving the algo + a screenshot of the actual code in case this shit happens again..

I am soo sorry to hear of your big time-wasting and frustrating Issues with the PRT Save function, you must be livid!

I guess you did save correctly?

For similar reasons, but also so I have a clean / clear working Platform I now save all my Systems to my PC.

When  I import a System code again from my PC to the PRT Platform (I do it loads now) all is good re optimised values showing in the optimiser etc.

So it is strange that your code did not Import okay from your SC Card.

all the variables in the code is fixed and as if its made using the wizard tool.

Just a long shot … might you have two Systems with the same filename and so they have got corrupted?

Lol livid = yes. I had to go meditate for 10 minutes to get the rage and frustration out.

And no it does not have shared names or anything like that. So weird. Never had this type of problem before.

Could the problems (and i dont know… would be great to find some answers) come becaus ei have too many strategies in my platform? its having a hard time saving information because i got too much?

I had like 900~ strategies (again), deleted bout 400 of them now.. not sure if that fixes anything or not. Anyone know about memory issues with PRT?

Anyone know about memory issues with PRT?

I have found that since I have had ZERO non running Systems in the AutoTrading window and ZERO Systems listed in the Backtest window that I get less / nearly zero Platform freeze ups / hanging … but I can’t prove a direct link.

It would be soo useful if PRT Support on here would comments on these Issues as and when. But hey I just noticed you haven’t posted in the correct Forum that PRT are moderators on!

Maybe a Mod will move your post to Platform Support … then you may get an answer!

You should send a technical report with the file you have saved, I think that it could be possible to get them to be re-imported properly.
