With IG there are no exchange and clearing charges, since IG futures do not go through an official exchange; IG is the counterparty in everything…
When using IG futures, however, you do incur conversion costs, because the future is (conveniently) denominated in US dollars while most trading accounts are in euros…
Every day they perform a (FX) conversion between dollars and euros at an exchange rate that is anything but favorable…

11/11/2025 at 5:58 PM #253531What do you guys think about this intraday trading Algo ?
First one 30 time frame on Italy MIB : from 10k to 50k in 15 years
Second one on DAX, 7 min time frame (same strategy : hit an run => stays very few time on market) : from 10k to 1 million in 3-4 years. All the fees (spread and guaranteed stop loss fees are calculated by the code)

other than that one has to be very careful with such small samples over so long periods of time
Sure, you prefer this one ? (not intraday, it keeps positions over night)

Only then can you say how good it is. Until about two years ago, when people shared their algorithms here in the forum to get feedback for improvements, you could see after several months that performance plummeted after the final version was released. Today, everyone thinks they can program an algorithm and put it on the marketplace. Everything is based on backtests, and only a few are based on live trading.
I think that if I have an algorithm that works, then I’ll use it myself and not try to make money by selling it.

Sure, i agree and i am not coding for selling. If my algo real work, why should i sell or rent it?
Today, the algo on DAX 7 min, 90k€ now… Looking how the trade will finish 🙂
