Multi timeframe in real accounts

    Hi everyone,

    I have tested for the last month some strategies in DEMO using MTF.

    I was surprised tonight, when I wanted to upload one to my REAL account, and I got a negative from PROORDER Auto trading, saying that it does not recognise the “timeframe” command. I went through the forum and I am seeing different opinions and answers about it (bugs, activation request to the broker, new engine, updates, etc)

    I have sent a request for MTF activation to IG Switzerland. Until they got back to me, anyone can tell me if MTF is active in real accounts, and everything is normal by now???? or they will tell me that is still not ready for real accounts??

    As far as I know it is only active in real accounts if you have requested to make it active. There have been some early issues with small bugs that meant that it was only available upon request and then it wasn’t for a while and then it was again so the current situation may be different. I would just wait for a reply.

    Personally I never buy the MK1 of anything so am patiently waiting for MK2 (or maybe it is MK3 now) MTF!

    Hi Vonasi,

    I will wait until I receive a proper answer from IG and will share the current status of MTF real here.

    If I continue with the strategy using MTF, I will also share my personal opinion here on the functioning of the MTF current version after some months in real.

    Hi everyone,

    Just as a follow-up of this matter, I have received answer from IG support.

    IG Support told me that they will add me to the activation list of users to use MTF in real accounts. They also stated that “This will be done the next time this feature is activated for clients”.

    I have tried to clarify the ambiguity of this part of their message by asking how long will it take (days, weeks, etc) and they answered ” We do understand your concern, however, we are at present unable to confirm exact time frame as to when the MTF will be enabled on your IG account”

    Nevertheless, they have been nice explaining the situation, so I guess we will have to wait to enjoy this feature in real trading.
