    Is it possible to load more than 100 000 bars?

    On backtest you mean? If you are with IG no, but if your Platform is direct from PRT then yes, you can load 200,000 bars.

    Possible with a PRT-CFD account, you’ll get 200.000 bars and many other interesting “premium” features.

    I have the premium version through PRT directly but I think the historic data is still insufficient for many securities. Especially on TF 1h and lower. For example all commodities have plenty of data on daily TF but if you want 1h data you can get 1 year or even less.

    This is really a pity. I would love to add some strategies on commodities to my portfolio for diversification but because of the limited data i haven’t succeeded so far in creating a good strategy. Or more correct, i hard dare to set live a strategy that i could only test on a few months of data.

    Isn’t it to do with the number of bars and therefore the number of opportunities to open /close a trade? 1 Year worth of 1 H bars (circa 6,240) is same as circa 17 years worth of Daily bars?

    Well for chicago vete (1 euro mini) i get only 750 daily bars until may 2014. This is too little. Or am I doing something wrong?

    Yeah I guessed! 🙂 I also get bars only back to May 2014 even though I have 100,000 bars selected … see attached.

    Yes, and it is like that for all commodities, this is really a pity. 🙁
