Margin impact on execution

  Hi,

  Quite new to PRT. I am trying to work out where I can view the initial margin required prior to placing a trade. I am using PRT via IG. It does not appear in the validation window

  As a general guide, margin is usually 5% of the contract size, so for example with DJIA Index currently around 44,000 we need 2200 margin to trade 1 Contract / 1 per point.

  We can trade a minimum of 0.2 per point on DJI so then we need 450.

  We can see margin on our IG Dashboard after a trade is opened; see attached at red arrowheads.

  Is it possible to have it viewed within prorealtime when placing an order like the image attached. Found it on the following link:

  Hi there patch,

  That is from the PRT-IB version (Interactive Brokers). There is is all possible and shown in real time on/from your portfolio if you want.
