Manual, Auto or Nothing?

  Loads of Indicators get posted into the Library. I counted 40 Indicators compared to 1 Auto-System over the recent 3 month period.

  It’s been quiet on here this weekend so thought I’d try and get a discussion going 🙂

  How do folks use Indicators posted on this Site?

  Please choose one of the following. Please also state if Demo or Live or both?

  Example answer could be … 1.  80% Demo, 20% Live. 

  1.  Manual Trade – 100%
  2.  Auto Trading as part of a System – 100%
  3.  Combo of Manual and Auto  (please state estimated % over last 3 months, e.g  20% Manual, 80% Auto).
  4.  Nothing, I have given up Trading!

  2.   Auto on Demo 100%

  4.   Nothing – I have stopped manual trading for the Summer! 🙂  But I am keeping my hand in on ChartGame.com … playing 3 or 4 games on average per day

  I am trialing close to 100 Systems to try and get a selection of Auto-Systems which are robust. Then I hope to  move forward on Live with 80% ish Auto and 20% ish Manual (give me more time to live my life! 🙂 )

  Just as a side note, does anyone use the tick chart rather than the time chart? I’ve looked at back tests on both and some systems seem to work better on the tick rather than time or vice versa. At the moment I’m 100% demo, not comfortable enough with the volatility since February.

  Tick charts are better in many ways for intraday trading. Since they are only in relation to price movement, statistical measures or any other math calculations about indicators are more relevant than with classic timeframes.
