Hello, this is my first post in this forum so hopefully it makes sense…..

I use ProRealTime through my IG account. I’m trying to code a strategy that uses trailing stops, but IG require you to have a “Step” of at least 1% on trailing stops. In the case of Amazon which I want to trade, this represents 760 points which is a big more before it will move my trailing stop.

So the question is, can I manage the stop in code in some way within ProBuilder and have my code move the stop instead of relying on the broker?

Yes! That’s why I put this trailing stop code for everyone benefit on these different blog articles:

    Complete trailing stop code

Trailing stop with the Max Favourable Excursion

Many users here already use these codes in their own automated trading system, please feel free to do the same. They don’t use percentage price value to move stoploss, but points, it could be easily adapt though, let us know how it goes in your code.
