Nicolas, can you advise how look inside candle will work and how it will affect the amount of units we can achieve? Surely this will make backtest/optimisations very long?
You’ll have the same amount of units for your backtest. The look inside bar (the tick backtest) will test every tick met between the OHLC of the timeframe’s candlesticks your strategy is currently tested. It will not be much longer than actual backtest because of a partial rewrote of the backtest engine. I have not tested it yet, but I’ll give you more details when I can get an hand of this, I know it is currently backtested at PRT dev desk.
This is very good news in that case. So it seems that we wont have to substitute anything for this possibility. 🙂

PRT 10.3 has been available direct from PRT in Beta for ages (nearly 12 months?) so Targets and Stops using ‘Tick Backtest’ is available for use Now on PRT 10.3 Beta (but not for IG clients etc)?
Is above a correct statement please (or am I interpreting incorrectly?).

PRT 10.3 is “Beta” because it is only available @ ProRealTime which is the software developer, and not “for ages” but only since March 2016. “Beta” for them, means that it is in constant development and evolution, and that people that use it through prorealtime-trading (Interactive Broker) for real-live trading must know that it may have some bugs on the new features and may choose to continue use the 10.2 also available on their website.
Since the PRT newsletter about the release of the version 10.3 (in March), many new features were added because the community ask them, here on PRC and through their customers assistance. So come on guys, everyone will get touch with the 10.3 in the future with many improvements, I’m just like you, I’m waiting for it!!
Yes, IG will upgrade their servers later with the definitive version.
No, tick backtest is still not available publicly, but I heard it surely be the case in September/October. (OMG we are in September!!!)

@Salocin another term used re ‘look inside bar’ is zero bar or zerobar …you may find more information under search (on this site) using ‘zero bar’ or ‘zerobar’.
