What I see, on short timeframe, if taking profit (fast ts) and entry-criteria is still active, it enters the next bar after taking profit, but the price paid is with a high risk/reward ratio.
mm .. Chart is Chart for me … let me explane.
Every Chart is the same for me because this Wave happens in every Timeframe. 1Month chart as well in the 1 Min Chart. The Idea for it come 10 Years ago.
For me the best Daytrading Chart is the 1 Day Chart. But you can also use it in 1 H Chart. The difference is the best Takeprofit. This is in a 1 Day Chart better then in 1 Min Chart. In the 1 Day Chart you can use 0.5% – 1% Takeprofit every Day. ( 80% of the time )
Normaly the Chart is not changing till the Top or 5 Waves has finished. But it is not important to know every time the 5 Waves – it is only important to do something , when the trend is Change .
So the real Risk is in the Future – that the trend is Change.
The red Points are normaly Levels what not should happens … very often the trend here is Change. So you can use STops on this Levels.
So the Risk is more in the Future
This is a very typical Backtest … 90% by 0.5% Takeprofit .. but no Money
but no Money
So why don’t you change the conditions in the code or the Timeframe or the Instrument so it gives better results?
I think I have to do this ..
When you write for a System .. do you try it only on the last trades ? (Maybe on the last 200 trades )
Or is it important for you that it works all the time ?
Get it working on the last 10k bars or even 1k bars with a decent average profit per trade (relative to risk / TF etc) and then work back from there so that the System at least does not lose over distant history, but yes more recent trades are more important.
This is the Idea with every time 5 Waves. An Elliottwave Pattern.
It is not perfekt coded ..sorry but it Show the Idea.
I try something in the MoneyManagement … Now it is profitable – i think on every market.
I reinvest the winners … that´s all
