Live performance updates for PRC Marketplace strategy: High Probability Reversal

I don’t necessarily want to post an update after every trade but since we had a bit of a slow month I just wanted to share the latest update of another nice win for the strategy Yesterday. We are now 2 for 2 for Feb so far.
My next update will be at the end of the month. Thank you to everyone running the algo for your support and I trust the gains will steadily continue to roll in.

I do not use partial closes, so that is not the issue. The rejected order log says it tried to place a stop below the minimum distance allowed (which in a year of trading this strategy has never happened before, so not sure if IG perhaps changed something).
If you look at the screenshot attached and compare it with the backtest (also attached), you can see the strategy stopped 1 bar after it exited the first reversal attempt and right before it took the enxt attempt which according to the backtest would have been a profitable trade. So that would not explain why ‘according to the PRT orders list’ it stopped due to the stop loss being placed too close.
I spoke to some clients who are also trading the strategy and theirs did not stop. Just wanted everyone running the strategy to be aware that theirs might also have stopped so that they also have the opportunity to restart it.
The stategy is now running again but unfortunately I missed out on a winning trade. I will continue to monitor the situation and provide feedback if anything happens again.
with crazy times I just meant considering everything that is going on, little surprises me lately.
You can check the “Readjust stops” checkbox in order to let the broker readjust automatically your stop in concordance with their requirements. This way, your algorithm will never stop in error due the minimum requirement scenario we all know..
MWALKER thanked this postSo despite losing out on a winning trade this morning, the strategy more than made up for it this afternoon by catching an absolute stunning 26pt reversal. Latest results attached!
Based on the minimum exposure and a starting capital of $1000, the strategy has now officially realized a return of 50% since the new version was made available on the 3rd of November last year. In 4 months the strategy has now also paid for itself based on the full price asked in the marketplace (sooner for clients running higher exposure).
Here are some other stats:
- No losing months yet
- Drawdown at no point reached more than $103 (based on my exposure)
- Winrate is 60%
- Gain/Loss ratio is 2.56
