For UK customers, I have requested that IG change my CFD account and Spreadbet account to PRT. They assure me that commissions, spreads, fees remains the same. I hope their is no fine print that I have missed. If so I will change back!
Last time i emailed IG , they said, by end of 2020. Now they are saying Q1 2021.

Why would IG be in a rush to transfer your Account to PRT and then IG would be sharing with PRT the spread revenue earned from your account!?
Why don’t you open an Account direct with PRT and try it out to see if it suits you? All you need is a separate email address (3 mins to raise on gmail).
Leave your account as is with IG until you decide which Account you prefer?

If Yes, then how / why do you think your account would be accepted on transfer from IG to PRT?
We are going off Topic, but what is the main reason you don’t like being with IG ?
I might go for C trader with IC market because their fess and spreads are much better than IG. Why be with a company that takes more than 2 years to release a piece of software built by others. Once we are closer to Q1 2020, its going to be Q2 as they have done since 2019. Its surprising that PRT has only 2 brokers, and no other broker has adopted PRT. Thats why we got no option.
I spoke with my account manager on Friday about transferring to PRT to get the upgraded data
We went through the problem of you get into trading, then find Prorealtime and by then it’s too late to sign up via Prorealtime especially with the fraud checks they have in place now that prevent multiple accounts being opened
He has said that he is going to discuss this with the PRT team and we have a follow up call pencilled in for the first week in September
There are commercials involved but I think that IG can see if that by having the best data and tools we will all probably trade more and he did ask about my sending on the names of people in the same position (I mentioned the users of this and my site) so my hope is that they would setup an intake process in which anyone looking for the upgrade can get it

Going to try keep this post going as there is still no sign of PRT v11 for IG users, and there is numerous posts on the IG forums regarding this

Prorealtime or Pro un-real time
Just a note on IG and ProRealTime, I was told by ProRealtime that they don’t allow automated trading when you have a trading account with them only IG gives you this functionality. You can also use ProRealtime with Interactive Broker but last I heard you couldn’t run automated trades using ProRealtime through them. Happy to be corrected if that’s changed as always handy to have another broker option.
On a slightly more deeper note it’s no use stressing over things outside of your control just do the best work possible with what you have in front of you.
I get some crazy IG backtest figures with 10.3 sometimes that don’t make sense then change without me doing anything to them, even when all markets are closed but you have to accept that no system is perfect and keep on pushing forward till you get where you want to be.

No but good point though as I believe tick by tick mode should come with a bigger warning message or just be applied automatically as lots of people new to trading will get positively skewed results if tick by tick mode isnt ticked. Otherwise default setting is run the backtest for imaginary results with lots of green, makes no sense? With a veiw to not drifting off topic do we have a thread for all new users to IG and ProRealtime covering the basics of what pitfalls to avoid ?
