IG ProReal in Demo not available?

    I am using ProRealTime with IG RealAccount and I wanted to use it also in the Demo account. I couldn´t so I called to IG and they told me is not possible to use ProReal in the demo account. Strange! Is that right??? I think I have read in this forum about people using it. Also this is Spain, maybe different here.

    I know it’s possible with PRT-CFD. I don’t think that’s the same with IG, since I’m not one of their customers, I can’t be sure. Anyone?

    IG give you 2 weeks or so Demo trial of PRT. After the trial, when you open a Live PRT account you get a PRT Demo Account to use for as long as you want.

    If you don’t do minimum 4 trades per month on Demo account you pay £30, but paid out of your virtual pot of £1,000,000! 🙂

    Yes, Grahal, I have the Live account and the Demo account. I am using PRT on Live already for several months but in Demo I triedd now but can´t openPRT so I called IG and they told me it´s not possible to use PRT in demo account… It sounds strange to me. I read here people using  it but maybe is because is in other broker or country.

    Ah yeah sorry, I missed the fact you are in Spain. Maybe you should ask Nicolas or a Moderator to change this Thread title to ,,,

    Help Please – Is PRT ‘Demo’ available in Spain with IG??

    In case it’s the same as IG France, for me PRT in demo account needed to be activated even if real account already had PRT activated. Within demo account, I had to go to “account” / “configuration” / “preferences”, and there select the option that activates PRT (and like Grahal said, the PRT cost for demo account is deducted from virtual demo money, not charged “one more time” from real money on top of real account PRT)

    Thanks Everyone. Problem solved. This morning I couldn´t activate PRT in Demo but this afternoon I could.. .?? Even stranger, a very nice lady in IG told me it was not possible… ???? Spain is different but not that much 🙂

    Sorry and thank everybody for your kindness. Now I can try I little system of mine in ProOrderDemo
