How to read the Volume QTY

    Hi All,

    I don’t understand somethink, I think I’m so tired, when I check the volume of a share on 1 day like Valeo the 03/08/22 I found 1 303 887, but on the H4 when I add the 3 candle of the day I found 2203 + 1803 + 191 = 4197 but Daily we have more then 1 000 000 ? where is the problem pls ?

    On PRT trading, market data for Valeo on March 8th for the 4h 3 candles is respectively: 595096, 463663 and 858287, total 1917046, matching daily TF data. So… not a platform issue when using market data.

    Looks like you are using IG cfd data. It doesn’t explain the difference « daily vs intraday sums » (other intraday TF add up to 4197 too like 4h) whatever that data is, but that would be  more a question for them (IG, as your broker), unless a user here already asked them and steps up to help with their answer.

    tks you too much for your answers, I get the right volume and it is 1.917M you are right, I cheked the same volume on the free PRT and TV and Saxo, about the problem of IG for me it’s just a problem, It allowed me to understand and refine my research, I will post the problem on the english IG forum and will see the answers, I add a small photo of the different volume of IG by PRT and on My IG too, it’s crazy
