In v11, if I start to place an object, and then change my mind and want to cancel and go back to the cursor, how do I do that? Esc doesn’t work. Currently I need to place the object and then delete it, which is cumbersome.
Hello,
you can create a shortcut in order to use the “delete” button of your keyboard.
Just point the mouse to the object and press the delete-key.

This isn’t what I meant.
Let’s say I click “Lines – Oblique resistance” and I make the first click. Then I change my mind, so instead of making the second click, how can I abort at this stage? In TWS I would press Esc and it would revert to cursor. In PRT it seems I need to actually make the second click to commit the line, then delete it afterwards.
You just need to press the right button to abort the operation.
so instead of making the second click, how can I abort at this stage?
Try right click on the mouse … it’s a bit clunky, but I just tried it on an oblique line (after selecting a low) and also a fib retrace (after selecting a start point) and right click does abort the action.
PS I wrote above before you Roberto :), but as I’m multi tasking, I forgot to post it!!
Thanks, that works.
I also discovered you can assign a shortcut key to “cursor” and pressing that during an object placement operation will cancel and return to cursor.
