    Hi everyone,

This website is great. I’ve dabbled with bits of PRT coding over the last couple of years but now wish to take it to the next level.

I’m looking to backtest/automate a system that uses a stop that is 5 points outside a 24hr Donchian channel; just for exiting a trade. How do I manually code this? (maybe a non-moving stop and also one that trails 5 points outside the 24hr Donchian channel to see the difference)

I’ve searched on here for a few examples but as i’m fairly inexperienced at coding I couldn’t quite understand and wasn’t sure if it was the right scenario.

I’ll upload the backtest file when it’s sorted and optimised. I’ve manually backtested a really simple system that generated 50% return on EUR/USD over the last 12 months (risking 1% per trade) and wish to programme this.

    Many thanks in advance,  David.
