Hi Nicola, yes it’s a 16″ M2 MacBook Pro with OS Ventura 13.5.
It’s plugged into a 50″ LG Smart TV. I see grey boxes whether it’s just my laptop screen or the TV though, cheers.

Hi Nicolas, is there anything I can do this end to fix it and get the charts working again? Cheers.

Hi @Nicolas, I just download PRT end of day data free trial s/ware and it’s woking fine? Does that mean the issue is in my a/c?
I also now have no access to PRT via the IG platform? Cheers.
Hello Bard,
I had that kind of problem a lot with version 11. I tried to report ghost windows but PRT didn’t do anything.
I have not seen it with v12 yet (I started using a couple of days ago), but I have a lot of other problems, such as window not responding, not movable, menu not opening and fields not selectable. Not only that, but I also saw that PRT high jacks some Mac shortcuts like cmd-h.
I don’t believe PRT is doing any QA on Mac or these issues would have been found before releasing new versions.
Note that I’m on a iMac with Intel.

Yes, the Cmd-H doesn’t work for me either. I downloaded and used the free trial V12 end of day and didn’t get any grey boxes. The issue seems to be on my account when I launch PRT via IG Index’s web platform.

Hi @Nicolas do you know if the chart issue with grey boxes is being looked at or when it will be fixed, only I’ve been without PRT charting now for over a month and I need to make a decision about new brokers/charting. Thanks.
Hi Bard, sorry to hear you are still struggling.
Did you advise PRT direct using their webform on the link below and / or submit a Technical Report off the PRT Platform from Help > HelpCenter > I’m having a Technical Problem?

Hi Bard,
I came across a similar issue with grey boxes appearing in the indicator settings/configuration on the ProRealTime web platform while using MacOS Ventura 13.5. However, after updating to the latest version of MacOS (Sonoma 14.1.1), the problem seems to have been resolved. I suggest updating your MacOS to this latest version to see if it fixes the issue for you as well.
Additionally, you might want to try reinstalling the ProRealTime Launcher, specifically the version for the Apple(M) processor. You can find it here: ProRealTime Launcher for Apple processor (make sure to choose the right download for the Apple processor). This could also help in resolving the issue.
Cheers.

Hi GraHal,
Thanks for the suggestion but I have literally no menu functioning within the entire platform (all grey boxes when you select anything in PRT) and a help report is not possible. It has been a long tedious 2 months now and I’ve not been able to trade properly.
If it can’t be fixed I guess I’ll have no choice but to close the account, get a refund and go to Trading View. 7 yrs or work….

Hi @Investing Innovator
Thanks for the feedback. I don’t believe it’s Ventura because I signed up to the free end of day data trial on the ProRealTime website, launched the platform and had no functionality problems.
I believe the problem is within my IG account.
I guess I will have no choice but to close the account
Do you not have a PC that you could access your IG Account and then send a Technical Report and include a saved screenshot from your Mac (that you previously saved to your google account / the cloud).
and include a saved screenshot from your Mac
I always wanted to send nice screenshots along with the Technical Report.
Can you show/tell us how to do that ?
Save screenshot in google photos (or similar cloud storage) and make it shared then include a link to the ‘shared screenshot’ in your Technical Report text to IG / PRT.
Similar gig as I do with the Snippet Library … easy when you know how!
Ah, ok. Yes. Too obvious of course. 🙂

That’s a good idea, let me look into it. 🙏
