Hello,
the function “GRAPH” does not work if i activate the ProOrder Autotrading. Is there any other command similar to “GRAPH” that I can use?
I got the following problem: I coded a trading system and trade manually when I receive signals. For me it is important to see my trading signal in the graph and receive signals with an alert.
My whole code would work perfectly as an indicator. Unfortunately, as an indicator Prorealtime needs so much RAM, that my battery of my laptop runs low within less than 2 1/2 hours.
I have absolutely no idea why the same code needs 4x more RAM as an indicator, but that is absolutely unacceptable. Prorealtime absolutely needs to fix this.
I can not run my system as ProBacktest too, because i would receive my alert or acoustic signals always a minute too late. :-/
That means, last chance would be using “GRAPH” or a similar command in the Autotrading. Do you have any idea?
Best regards,
Robin
No, the strategies being executed cannot plot or return anything.
Simply remove GRAPH and ask your platform to be alerted. I don’t know how late the alert is visible, but there’s no other way to achieve what you want to.
The ProBacktest alerts are not “late” but arrived as soon as an order is opened.
I don’t think Robin want alerts on opened orders; he likes alerts so he can open orders manually. And these alerts come one minute (on a 1m TF I suppose) late. There was a topic about this a few days ago, but today I fail to find it.

Stick in more memory ? But careful, because it is not said (to me) that this helps “definitely”. It could help temporarily only – like another 30 minutes of more surviving.
Btw, the battery will most probably drain because of too much disk access (which happens when you are too low on memory).
PS: I don’t want to be funny, but I suppose putting your laptop under mains power is not a solution ?

Could it be so that this actually is not a problem at all, and only a means by you to bring across the severity of the indicator’s RAM usage ? In other words, thinking of priorities, what actually is the problem ? The GRAPH command (or otherwise) definitely is not going to work (sadly, I’ll add).
Hello,
thanks for your answers.
I got enough RAM power on my computer and my laptop, that is not the point. I am just often out of my office for hours and my laptop usually got a battery power for 10-12 hours.
If Prorealtime is open and i use my trading system as an indicator, the battery is at 0% within 2 1/2 hours and the laptop is really hot. Manual backtests with my system as an indicator takes hours too because every chart is loading for
such a long time. This runs way faster when i use the system as a ProBacktest.
I would really love to use my system as an indicator. I could put an altern on the graph and everything would be so easy. Another solution would be if i could put an alert on the graph of a backtest,
but that is unfortunately not possible too in Prorealtime.
Well…that means Robertos suggestion stays the only solution. That is a bit disappointing.
