    I’ve decided to have a single Topic dedicated to the various Link Libraries and Trade Logs that I ‘host’ on my google drive for Community use.

    This Topic will be a convenient place for you folks to locate the files and – if I get ‘knocked down by a bus’ – my work will live on! 😀

    So here we are; the file titles should speak for themselves …

    If you were ever a member of the Tufty club then you should be all right to avoid those buses when crossing the road. (You may be of the wrong generation for this to mean anything to you and it will definitely mean nothing to anyone not born in the UK during a certain period!)

    EDIT: Google tells me that apparently Tufty is still alive and well and still helping children to cross the road safely!

    Sorry – a bit off topic so I will shut up now.

    He doesn’t appear to ever age so as he looked so young when I was introduced to him I was guessing he was from my era! From your avatar I’m guessing that you are anywhere from 21 to 60 so you were probably a member of the Tufty Club and should be fine with bus avoiding.

    Hi Grahal,

    I am totaly flabagastered 😉 by this discovery of these other links to evaluate strategies !!!

    I only knew the snipet one for stop loss, which I salute btw for this major contribution in serving the community;

    I really think we need to outline/promote this topic much further as I check the site almost daily since 7 months and just discovering the richness of the “general discussion”  section and this post full of precious information.

    I have started another Log.

    I hope the Community contribute / enter info into the Log below as this will benefit us all.

    Hi Grahal,

    This is great news and great leadership; may I suggest we add new columns in order to clarify even more this document;

    • type of asset : index/stocks/forex
    • type of strategy : trend following / mean reversion / breakout
    • signal : RSI MACD…
    • stop loss : ATR…
    • take profit : trailing X indicator
    • link to the strategy code if any in the site
    • screener linked to the strategy

    What do you think about it?

    May I suggest also another Log code name :”my trading style” where the “true sharers” of this blog could exchange their best practices (this can be made on cooptation btw depending on the share ratio of each of us) :

    • trading style
    • screeners
    • strategy
    • SL/TP strategy
    • traded assets

    Are we talking the same thing here … re the Technical Report Log?

    I  be amazed if anybody enters even the briefest of details that the Log currently show … which are a copy and paste from what is entered in the Tech Report anyway. If we add more columns then folks will be frightened off altogether? 🙂

    I am happy to host any type of PRT based Log, even if kinda just for yourself / me / anybody interested Kris … with a spin off / benefit to others if they get involved or even just scan the Log (lots do use my Snippet Log).

    Above reason is why I started the Tech Report Log, if I have a disciplined system then I will use it and so I thought I may as well host it with access to all  in the hope others enter their Tech Report info also … but I’m not holding my breath!? 🙂

    To be honest I think there should be few admin of these kind of collaborative docs (see what happened to your dear snipet Log lately;-)

    I’m still contributing to it every time I find/code something interesting that should be archived for future references. Do you hold any other copy somewhere?

    I make a backup copy periodically, but the backup is held on the same Drive as the original so yeah if ALL google servers fail / a fire then I guess we lose it?

    My disaster plan is based on google backing up their servers at a 2nd / remote location etc??

    I’m more than happy if anybody wants to make another backup periodically?

    Changes are held in a change log as part of the google drive set up and that was what I used recently to revert back to the pre-screw up content.

    No I never said that.
    A few weeks back somebody did a copy and paste from Hell  (as you called it Nicolas) and I restored it back to a day or two before the screw-up.  Nobody said we had lost lines / rows.

    I assume it is above that Kris is referring to below? Is that correct @Kris75

    correct I was refering to this appaling event 🙂 ! I really recommand that only admins (you, Nicolas, Vonasi,…) can modifiy it.

    => I am sure @Nicolas is thinking of a new category aside of screener, strategy, indicator in the site 😉
