Getting Started with automatic trading

Hi, I have just signed up as a new member with ProRealCode and I have no knowledge of automated trading. I have been a spread-betting forex trader for a few years and a computer programmer for over thirty years. Please inform me what I need to do to get started writing automated trading software? What utilities or interfaces do I need to install on my laptop? I want to write my own code, upload my automated trading software to the ETX MetaTrader4 trading platform, then run it so that will automatically create a forex spread-betting market order at a given date and time with the parameters that I specify based on the currency price at the time? How do I write automated trading software that will delete a forex spread-betting market order or open a trade under conditions that I specify? Please inform me how I can make the automated trading software read a data file or an excel spreadsheet. Thanks for your help. I look forward to your reply.

Hi, welcome on board. Sure we can help you code and set automatic trading strategies on your account, but this website is only dedicated to prorealtime trading software.

Firstly, be sure to get the Prorealtime platform and an account with PRT-CFD 🙂

Oh sorry no, you have to open a spread betting account with IG instead.
