    There was a gap down on the Dax 5 minute DFB chart yesterday (2/10) after the first 5 minute bar but the software doesn’t appear to be able to see it.  The first bar closed at 12885.9 and the second opened at 12871.0 for a gap of 14.9 but output of graph close[1] – open shows no gap, see attachments.

    Can anyone explain this?

    Sorry but yesterday the 02/10? Are you sure? Could you post a complete screenshot of your chart including the instrument name, date and price please?

    Are you using custom trading hours somehow?

    I tried that as an indictor and it works for me too but it doesn’t appear to pick up the gap as a graph instruction from a simple test system, see attached

    c1 = 0
    c2 = 0

    IF NOT LongOnMarket AND c1 THEN
    BUY 1 CONTRACTS AT MARKET
    ENDIF

    If LongOnMarket AND c2 THEN
    SELL AT MARKET
    ENDIF

    graph close[1] - open

    Try:

    graph close[1]
    graph open

    to check their values.

    @Nicholas.  Thanks for the suggestion, now we can see the problem more clearly, see attached.

    You are right, I don’t know what’s happening here. Please open a new technical report ticket and refer this topic in your message. I will do the same.
