So i was in panic-mode again this morning. Reason being that backtest said “no entry” while live account was in deep red from a “bad entry” (time will show)

So im not sure why this is but it gave me a slight heart attack.

On the backtest the trade didnt show as an active trade until after a full red 30 minute candle closed (30 minutes after my live account opened the trade). No clue as to why. Ill include pic.

Guessing this is just how “backtest” works?

Yes there is some strange phenomenon where backtest doesn’t show the trade until one bar later.

It doesn’t sound logical, but it has been discussed on here. I can’t even get my head around it now, but that may be due just got up and only had one mouthful of coffee! 🙂

It came to me … I guess it’s cost else IG would have to have so many live feeds, but then it’s only IG trades / data anyway?? Server processing power … as you can see I’m guessing … more coffee!? 🙂

haha not sure coffee is gonna help u this time 🙂 I guess its just how PRT / IG works yea. Well no crisis THIS time either haha and i didnt know it had been discussed here b4 🙂 Guess u guys can close this thread then.
