Fisher Indicator ok on day charts, problems on 1min charts

I can use the following indicator with Day charts and no problems with period length.I can take it as low as I want to, yet on 1min charts it is restricted to len=14 period,but then this is for today because yesterday it was at len=13 and going no lower on the 1min charts. I would prefer to work with len=5 on 1 min charts but have been unable to do that. I became PRT member (complete) few weeks ago now and that minimum level of period length on 1min charts has been varying between minimum of 8 and 14 length, totally erratic. Any help greatly appreciated. IF BARINDEX .99 then Value1 = .999 ENDIF If Value1 < -.99 then Value1 = -.999 ENDIF Fish = 0.5*Log((1 + Value1)/(1 - Value1)) + .5 * Fish Trigger=fish[1] a=5 b=-5 ENDIF RETURN Fish,Trigger,a,b

What is the instrument with the problem? I can reproduce the issue on DAX cfd 1€/contract on a 1 minute chart, but just to be sure what may cause this. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. It is the spot GBP/USD and at this precise moment I see that the length can be taken to the 5period len. It has happened before though and like I said it is erratic and appears intermittent.
