EXITSHORT trade exit not working

    Hi guys I’m relatively new to the forum. I am in the process of going live with ProRealTime Automated trading through IG but have noticed this thread https://excellenceassured.com/10392/trading-with-automatic-trading-systems-feel-the-freedom from someone using the same tools which on page four details an issue with the EXITSHORT command not always being actioned in their Automated Trading strategy.   Please see below for short extract.

    Further to my note above. I have currently placed my automatic trading on hold as my broker, IG have so far been unable to provide an explanation to me as to what exactly occurred during my “missed” exit.

    12th November update – IG have confirmed that my code was not at fault. I appears to be a glitch in the system and they say:

    I have received a reply today, they say that it is not a coding error but instead an error in how the system handles the “EXITSHORT”(trade exit) part, the conditions were met but the system was unable to proceed due to limitations on the live system. It looks like it is an error on the current version of the live account.

    Can someone advise if this bug has now been resolved ?

    Might be easiest to ask the Authors of the Article you reference above … Contact link below.  Refer him to his article to make it easy for you on the contact Form.

    Even easier … there is a Comment Form at the bottom of the Article … fill it in and ask if the Issue is sorted
