Hello,
I use prorealtime trading 12, I’m conneted via IG broker.
Is there a way, free or paying fees, to see real time futures data? I need EUREX, NYMEX and CBOT.
Right now I can only see what IG offers and their CFD, also it seems to me that IG doesn’t offer real futures data.
Thanks for any help about this matter!

Hit IND on immediate LHS from w/in IG Platform
Select Germany40
Opens a new Germany40 workspace to add:
You will see (maybe) three tabs alongside the label Germany40 – Cash (the default window) – Futures – Options
Select Futures
Good luck with it.

Back in the day when I had a quick look, you could create a new ‘watchlist’, add the desired Futures contracts, restart PRT and the new watchlist would present w/in PRT, heatmaps etc. Then you could add chart from that group/ location (heatmap for example).
Looking just now, if you know the name of the contract, create a chart and select the named FUT contract ( from the where you select the desired instrument / contract (it’s in drop down tab/box, 3rd icon from the top LHS corner of the chart) ) . As you start typing the instrument / contact should appear in the dialogue box, usually near the bottom of the list.
Hope this makes sense. If not poke about a bit but it should be there, can’t see there being that great a diff. between APAC and EU given MiFiD and other co-operatives in place (transparency in reporting etc.) unrelated but it show there’s deep ties.
Anyhow good luck again.

04/30/2025 at 7:49 AM #246556Thanks for your answer Inverse, but what it’s shown it’s anyway a derivative price and not the EUREX data feed, in the DAX case.
Open and close hours are different, the are no gaps etc.
I would like to see the EUREX future contract, which is easily available in the prorealtime trading WEB app for example.
I don’t want to trade on it, just make my analysys.
04/30/2025 at 9:25 AM #246559I’m not sure how you’re doing your analysis, reading ticker (not being funny here, is how I learnt to clock prices on a pager early 90’s) or charting and doing your analysis there. If on a chart I thought from memory (again) we could set session times to reflect 800-2200 on CFD (continuous synthetic) but there’s no ‘continuous’ contract equivalent for FUT on IG. When EU went with an early APAC start 1:10am etc that all changed. Talking DAX CFD here. I guess your already across this.
Providers in the past would ‘construct’ a continous HMUZ ‘instrument’ and you could select to roll on volume (when the fwd contract surpasses vol. of the current) or custom date aka roll custom build a few days before or any day for that matter. With PRT none of this exists with IG, with IB I think there might be a ‘continuous’ rolled contract you could work with – others would know this first hand for IB/PRT and what’s doable.
Otherwise you’re stuck with the spot month for IG (I think)……..
It’s why you’re seeing what you’re seeing.
I’m not sure whether you’re after DOM / L2 data and it sounds like you might be, if so IG won’t help you there, again IB would be a broker to look at w/PRT, others could comment further there.
Sounds like you have some choices to make and what you’d like to trade.
IG do have API but I’ve not looked at it, it could be a thing for you but I suggest your research long and hard if you’re serious about that kind of process. Personally I’d look elsewhere for API.
Good luck with it, never easy when looking at new platforms and ‘living’ with features you’d expect to be the norm but simply aren’t there and could be a deal breakers too.

04/30/2025 at 9:51 AM #246560I’m simply looking to chart futures, which now I do using Tradingview. My goal was to use PRT to both analysys and trading but it seems that it isn’t possible with IG.
My issue is with higher timeframes candles and levels. Real Futures data and IG derivatives data often differs. The intraday price is fine because most of the time is identical.
Thanks Inverse!
