    Grahan,

Updating about the issue… with the “autoadjust” bok ticked this morning the system gave me again the “minimun distance” error so IMO this option just doesn´t work.

And about the third… I can try

Yes try with both G’Stops and auto adjust enabled.

Althought my suggestion was with 3 x Algos using Item 1 with Algo A, Item 2 with AlgoB and Item 3 with Algo 3 … all 3 x Algos running at the same time and all 3 having been started at the same time.

Sorry Grahal but if the option doesn´t work I don´t see the point for any other analysis… I am not going to use it anyway

It’s all in the interests of discovery, often new things can be found out when looking for something entirely different.

If it works then you might say to yourself … so why am I not getting the min distance error now I have G’Stops enabled … ah I know, it could be because of  ?????, so if I change my code to ????? then I may not get the error message.

Jajaja Grahal you are really pushing it!

So because that option doesn´t work you think I should try other options that are not supposed to work for that… in that case I am going to spend a lot of time y just with this because there are a lot of options I could try that  have the same chance to work and IMO that´s very little chance. I rather use my time better

But in this case I will try the “GStop &Autoadjust ” just because you asked for it 😉

    Grahal,

Probably you didn´t even remember about this, but as  you asked me in this thread I activated my system with and without the guaranteed stop.

It hasn´t operated much the last months but today both of them gave  the “minimiun distance” error so I guess the G´stop option doens´t work either to avoid that error 🙁

I do remember and I ticked both boxes today and within a short time I got rejected for the minimum distance error.

Either these functions are not activated by IG or maybe we need to have a limited risk account also?  Do you have one?

    Grahal,

Sorry for the delayed answered. Yes, I think my account is limited risk because it´s not professional

I think Limited Risk means that we tick a box on the IG website and we agree to Guaranteed Stops (IG take 1 point extra of us for this privilege).

Anybody who wants to correct me and / or add anything further please feel free.

Guaranteed stops are available for clients with a standard account, also these clients can add normal stops or trailing stops.

According to IG, a guaranteed stop is a stop that does not/never move again during your (automatic) trading period. (click on: guaranteed stop)

A normal stop is subject to changing height of the minimum stopping distance during your trading period. When you click on “adjust stops” this minimum stopping distance will be automatically adjusted according to IG.

So it’s two different things where it’s pointless to click both boxes at the same time.

Think the problem is that there is some (IG?) limit to how much the level can be auto adjusted?

Sorry Grahal I think I misunderstand you about the “limited risk”. If  that mean “Guaranteed Stops” I never use them

I agree. And because I only need that option (Auto Adjust) when the spread is very wide and the stop/limit orders tend to give error that make that option for me useless.

    I’m still confused! 🙂

So if I tick the Re-adjust Stops box (leaving GuaranteedStops unticked) when I start my Algo on AutoTrading … I will never get that annoying Reject error message (re min stop distance) ever again?

Please confirm … I don’t need to have ticked any other box within IG settings on the IG Platform?

Please confirm … Enabling Re-adjust Stops will cost me 1 extra point per trade in fees / charges?

    – Haha, in the description ProOrder stated that when you click the box (automatic readjusting stoplevel) that they will try to minimize the risk of a system stop…
    – Not that I know of…

    Probably still confused…
